Very, very true. and hilarious.
It is true. We take for granted the miracles we get from technology, and complain when the miracles aren’t perfect. This comedian’s routine on the Conan O’Brien show is funny, mocking our ingratitude. I post it here because the rant is a cartoon version of a more serious argument that we become blind to progress.

I actually saw that when it aired a coupla months ago. Actually, I remember the part after that segment was about his daughters anxiety upon hearing that the sun will supernova one day and he was like “yea, but don’t worry cuz we’ll all be dead by then anyways”.
His real standup is REALLY dirty. I gave a guy at work his “all chewed up” standup and I had to preface it with “just wait a few minutes before being offended and turning it off. He’s actually really smart.” He talks about parenthood a lot in that one so you guys would really get it.
On the other hand though, his stories are, of course, euphemistic because that’s how shit is funniest. Its black and white because its not philosophy so much as its “thats fuckin true”.
“Techmology” on its face is great. But there plenty of twats standing in the way of it being better, faster, sooner.
Did you know it doesn’t cost the phone companies anything to send sms? they charge out the wazoo for that shit. monopoly.
